Symmetry between Genesis and Revelation

"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.... looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless." (2 Peter 3:10, 12-14).

Let us pay attention to the facts described here, especially in verse 10: "...the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat", and verse 13: "But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth."

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea." (Revelation 21:1)

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light." (Genesis 1:1-3).

"The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed." (Genesis 2:8).

As you know, brothers and sisters, we are meeting every morning and by the grace of the Lord we are considering the eternal counsel of God. We would like to approach this great theme from two books of the Bible, Genesis and Revelation.

There are 66 books in the Bible. God said: "I am Alpha and Omega." And our Lord Jesus Christ also said: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." So, if we want to know the history of the universe, especially in relation to the eternal counsel of God, we can't but turn to the Alpha and Omega book of the Bible.

Yesterday I demonstrated that there is symmetry between these two books. In the first three chapters of Genesis, we find the beginning of the heavens and the earth, and in the last three chapters of Revelation we find the end of the heavens and earth. But more than that, there will be new heavens and new earth. In the beginning we saw that Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, the paradise; and in the last three chapters of the Bible, we find the New Jerusalem -again, the paradise. In Genesis, the garden; in Revelation, the city garden. A garden in the beginning, a garden at the end. Marriage at the beginning, marriage at the end. The tree of life at the beginning and the tree of life at the end. The river of life at the beginning and the river of life at the end. The serpent at the beginning and the dragon at the end.

In the first three chapters we find out how the serpent entered the garden, and produced man's fall. Then came the curse, pain, sorrows, tears. It is the beginning of mankind's tragedy. But when we come to the end we see how Satan, who created all those problems in this universe, and his followers are thrown into the fire lake. God is concluding the last chapters of human history. Then there won't be any more tears, any more nights, nor any more sea. There will be no more curse, not more pain, no more grief.

There is a Garden at the beginning and a Garden at the end. And if we follow the course of the river of life, we find gold, precious stones and pearls which are the exact three materials for the construction of the New Jerusalem. Now we are able to appreciate what the writer of Hebrews told us: "Abraham was looking for a city with foundation." Even though he was living in a tent, he saw the New Jerusalem from a far. According to Hebrews, it is God who is building that city that has foundation. Now God is collecting the material - gold, precious stones and pearls-to build the New Jerusalem.

When we come to the last chapter of the Bible, we ask one question: after God has been busy through all the ages, will He be successful? Will He achieve what He has wanted from the beginning?

Before the foundation of the world, God already had an eternal will. Here we have the blueprint of God, and now He wants to work according to that blueprint. He created the heavens and the earth, and the wheel of time began to rotate. Now we have time. Our time simply means that God is working the whole time. When God works, it is always according to a purpose.

When we come to the last chapter of the Bible, we have to ask a question: Is God going to be successful? God had a dream in eternity past, but thank God, despite the fierce opposition of the enemy - one battle after another throughout the ages- finally God will fulfill His dream. So when we see the new Jerusalem come down from heaven to the earth, this will be the most glorious moment in the history of the universe! Finally God will get what He wants.

In the beginning there was only a two dimensional Garden in Genesis. It was a flat land, full of trees and of beauty. But when we come to Revelation, based on that two-dimensional Garden, a three-dimensional structure will appear on this earth. God is the builder of that city that has foundation.

The principle of symmetry enables us to know God's purpose more clearly

If we compare Genesis with Revelation, you can almost see the whole picture of God's will. We have the beginning and the end, and in between we have the development and the progress. Genesis describes the beginning, Revelation the end, and the 64 books between Exodus and Jude speak of the progress and the development. Although we cannot cover the 66 books this time, through the Alpha and the Omega book, we can get a glimpse into the eternal will of God.

As we explained yesterday, there is some mirror symmetry between these two books. We have used a statement to describe this symmetry. If one writes in English, Portuguese or Spanish, horizontally, the statement: "Isaac loves Rebecca as much as Rebecca loves Isaac", you have the word "as" in the middle. Like a mirror. Then we have Isaac at the beginning, and Isaac at the end; love at the beginning, and love at the end; Rebecca at the beginning and Rebecca at the end. We call this mirror symmetry.

Our brother's red tie gives us the same idea: of how symmetrical he is. From the left side and the right he you find the same things. The right eye is here, the left eye is on the other side. That is mirror symmetry. The same thing is applied to the Alpha book and the Omega book.

Now, why is there this symmetry? For example, let us suppose that our brother has an infection in his right eye and the doctor puts a bandage over it. When his wife looks at him, even though his right eye has disappeared, she knows that his eye is there, because her husband is a symmetrical husband. If you find one ear here, you know he must have another ear on the opposed side. Although his eye is covered, you know that it is there. One uses the left eye to explain the right eye. How can you prove the existence of his right eye if it is hidden and you can't see it clearly? Because of the principle of symmetry. You can be pretty sure the right eye is there. Just wait two or three weeks, when his right eye has healed and the veil is taken away, then it is very clear: the right eye is there.
So, when we compare the Alpha book with the Omega book and we see, for example, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we know that this is definitely not according to the will of God. "And God said: The day you eat of that tree you will die." However, we don't know if God hated this tree for a period or forever. But when we compare Genesis with Revelation, we have the tree of life at the beginning and at the end; however, the other tree disappeared.

It is very clear that the eternal purpose of God is in the tree of life. God only considers one form of life to be life. In this universe there is only one life. God said: "This is life, and the life is in Him." The life is in Christ. The will of God is totally occupied with Christ, and none other than Christ. In this way we are totally sure of what the eternal will of God is. This morning and in the remaining mornings we will speak about this in a little more detail.

Two great roars

In the beginning we have the heavens and the earth, and at the end we have new heavens and new earth. According to Peter, the old heavens and the old earth will disappear with a great roar. After the roar the new heavens and the new earth will come. Thank God for that. However, in the first verse of Genesis -"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"- the Bible never tells us how God created the heavens and the earth.

A carpenter might think that God created the earth as a carpenter, with tools. For a mathematician, they think God was the greatest of mathematicians, that He made many equations to create the universe. When a computer engineer thinks about the creation of God - as he is accustomed to managing a program on his computer- he thinks that when God created the heavens and the earth, He not only created the hardware, but also the software. God not only created the material, but also the life of the soul; personality.

For somebody who likes to cook, he will always imagine that when God created the heavens and the earth it was like when somebody prepares a plate of food and puts it on the table for a party. So, imagine, many years ago, a group of children gathered around a table, who loved the food that their mother made. But let us suppose that she had gone out, and they all saw the tasty dishes on the table, and one dish was fish. They began to wonder how the mother cooked it. If they had been in the kitchen, they would have seen the flames; a pan on the fire, with some oil in it and finally a fish. So, before the invention of microwaves, the mother would always have made the fish in the same way; on the fire. When you see the flames, and the pan upon it, you know where the fish comes from; now they would know how she cooked the fish. I think that the apostle Peter saw that.

Now, let us suppose that Peter came to visit us today. You sit down with him and we try to discover how that fish was prepared. Peter had experience as a fisherman to know how a fish was to be cooked, but he wouldn't know what a microwave was. Let us suppose that he wants to know how the fish has been cooked. For modern people, there are at least two ways, but for Peter there was only one. But we would just be guessing if the mother was not there to tell us how it was cooked. Those who have never seen a microwave cannot imagine how the raw fish becomes such a wonderful dish. You don't see fire or heat; how could you believe that fish could be cooked without fire? However, that is only one method. There is another form. The mother could have cooked it without using fire, without using visible heat.

Now, you can ask how the mother prepared this plate. But if she is not there, you can only guess. You will have to examine the fish and conclude that it has either gone through fire or through a microwave. But, if the mother is present, you can ask her. And she will say: "I used the microwave."

There are two types of knowledge here. When the mother is absent, if you want to know how the fish was prepared, you could investigate, do some research, discuss it, and make a guess; in which you may be right or wrong. If you have never seen a microwave, you will insist that the fish had been prepared by fire. But this knowledge is partial. We may be right or wrong. This is exactly what happened to the scientists. This is how the scientists obtained their knowledge, but they took the element of God away from the universe. However, through the creation of God, they gather data, and based on that information they formulate some hypotheses.
That conclusion may be right or wrong. However, when the mother speaks, saying: "I prepared the fish in the microwave", this is something wonderful. Now we know. This is very important.

We have knowledge from the scientific world that tells us about the origin of the universe; how the universe began. It may be right or it may be wrong. They base their research on the creation of God. It pleased God to put hidden signs in this universe, to provide evidence that it was He who created the universe. This is the knowledge that we learn in the school; but that is not the only knowledge. When we study the Bible, the Word of God, the Creator of the universe is here. Let Him tell us what happened to this universe.

Let us not argue how the mother cooked the fish. The important thing is that it was the mother who prepared it. Now, if you want to ask another question, you may be right or wrong. That is not important. The important thing is what the Bible says. The important fact is that God created the heavens and the earth.

So, when we study Genesis 1, it says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." But the Bible doesn't tell us how God created them. However, if we study 2nd Peter, we know how this universe will end; how one day these heavens and this earth will disappear. This is very interesting, listen carefully. According to the Bible, there will be a great roar, almost like an explosion; all the elements will burn, and everything will disappear. That we do know; it is very clear in the bible.

After that explosion, after the old heavens and the old earth disappear, Peter tells us that we are looking forward to the appearance of new heavens and new earth. We have heavens and earth in Genesis, and we have new heavens and new earth in Revelation 21. The Bible doesn't say how the heavens and the earth were created in Genesis. However, it is very clear, according to Revelation 21:1 when the old heavens and the old earth pass away, then we will have new heavens and new earth.

How will these new heavens and this new earth appear? Before they appear, there will be a great roar. After that great roar, the old heavens and the old earth will pass away. And here come the new heavens and new earth. We are fairly sure of one thing: after a great roar, an explosion in the universe, we have new heavens and new earth.

Now we will apply the principle of symmetry here. Even though the Bible doesn't tell us how God created the heavens and the earth in Genesis, if we see the symmetry, if we find the left eye here, without a doubt we will find the right eye here. According to the principle of symmetry, after the great roar we will have new heavens and new earth. By this principle of symmetry, most probably after a great roar, a great explosion, the heavens and the earth were created. We are not sure, because the Bible never says. However, according to the mirror symmetry it is very possible; it is very probable. We are very sure about the new heavens and the new earth after the great roar. And if the method of God is always consistent, it is very possible that God will deal with the new heavens and the new earth in the same way as He dealt with the old heavens and the old earth.

The Big-Bang theory

Now we find something very interesting. After many years of studying the universe, most scientists now believe there was a beginning to the universe. Remember that many years ago there was a theory about the universe: people believed in materialism. They believed that material, in other words, the universe, was eternal. The universe was not only material, but eternal and infinite. This was a very important theory. That's why some people believed in communism; because the foundation of communism is materialism. Why don't they believe that there is a God? Because they think that material or the universe is infinite and eternal.

We Christians, in accordance with the Bible, when we describe our God, say that He is eternal, God is infinite. He is the only one who is eternal and infinite. There are those who consider that the universe in itself is a god; they believe in materialism. It is not surprising that they don't believe in God. They think that the universe is infinite; that it doesn't have a beginning or an end. That has come to be considered truth in some places of the world.

But one day, a famous scientist called Einstein discovered, according to his Theory of Relativity, that the universe had a beginning, and that it was finite. But some people just couldn't accept that. So in Russia, for a period of time, they considered that the theory of Einstein was a heresy. How can you believe that the universe has a beginning and an end! If you believe that the universe has beginning and end, you would have to believe in God, and they could not accept that. They wanted the universe to be god and they wanted to be gods themselves. And they said: "We don't have a religion." But they had already created another religion.

Thank God, through scientific investigation, gradually they concluded that Einstein was correct. The universe has a beginning and an end. Then they gathered all the evidence, they guessed; they speculated and thought that in the beginning there was probably a "Big Bang" -a great explosion- and that Big Bang, that great roar, was the beginning of this universe, and then we had the heavens and the earth. There are still scientists who don't believe it, but most have now accepted it because of all the evidence. They believe that the universe began with a great roar, a Big Bang.

For us Christians, the important thing is that God created the heavens and the earth. The important thing is that that fish was prepared by our mother. She could make it with fire or with the microwave. But that is not essential; it is only extra knowledge.

The Bible has never been the textbook of science. However, it speaks to us of the mystery of the universe. Here and there, there is hidden evidence of God in this universe. Brothers and sisters, now it is very clear; from the Bible, if you study the Alpha book and the Omega book, now we can say that if the scientists are right, if this is true - even though the Bible is silent in regard to it-, by the principle of symmetry, what they have discovered is probably very close to the truth. However, let us not forget that they could be mistaken, because this knowledge is fruit of research; it is only partial.

But, thank God, the builder, the Creator, our God, is here, and it pleased Him to reveal Himself to us through the Bible. That's why we have Genesis; we now have the origin of the universe. However, now we have a problem: If we are not careful, we may misunderstand what God wanted to reveal to us in the first three chapters of Genesis.

The eternal will of God is connected with the earth and humanity

Now we have to concentrate on chapters 1 and 2. If the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us the history of the universe, the most important verse is Genesis 1:1. "In the beginning created God the heavens and the earth." In this verse, God created the sun, the moon and the stars. Everything was done in verse 1.

However, when we come to verse 2: "Now the earth was formless and empty"; the camera of the Holy Spirit is focusing on the earth. Then if you read on, the rest of chapter 1 tells us the story of our planet. When God said: "Let there be light", it is something related to our planet. In verse 1, He had already created light; there was light everywhere in the universe, but there was something wrong with the earth. Something had happened to this planet.

So, now the Holy Spirit tries to tell the story of this planet. What happened? This is very important. The camera is aiming at our planet. On the sixth day, God created man according to His image. We know mankind was created on the sixth day. The Bible only mentions it quickly in chapter 1. However, in chapter 2, the camera of the Holy Spirit was aiming at man now - how Adam and Eve were created. We know that we were created from the dust. (No wonder when you take a shower, you find so much mud on your body; that is proof that we were created from the dust). If we want to know the details of mankind's creation, we should go to chapter 2. Unfortunately, people forgot that. It is very important.

Our brother Carlos is a famous photographer. Before he takes a picture, he already has a design in his mind. He doesn't just photograph anything; he has an objective in his mind. Let us suppose that he wants to take a beautiful picture of some newlyweds. They would like to go to a park, with beautiful trees, flowers, and a lake. Then he will take the picture for them. Suppose he is a man of purpose; he wants to capture the newlyweds so that their descendants always remember that beautiful moment. So it needs to be well-taken. We can imagine the scene. In the beginning, the camera will trace out the background: the trees, the flowers, and the lake. It is a beautiful scene. However, it is only the background; it is not the most important thing. With his camera, he has framed a general scene. But then he immediately adjusts his focus. Even though the landscape is very beautiful, it is not the main thing that he wants to photograph. The interest is in the bride and the groom. So he adjusts his focus to the couple. What's more, although we have the bride and the groom, our brother wants their descendants to see their smile. From a distance one can see the couple, but, how do we know that they are very happy? By seeing their faces. So again the focus changes from the couple in general to their faces. Finally, we have a beautiful picture.

Now, brothers and sisters, how do we know the eternal will of God? The Holy Spirit has written Genesis 1 and 2; and He only uses one verse to describe the universe in general. That is only the background. However, the important thing is our planet. And the most important thing on this planet was that God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. So, when we read Genesis 1 and 2, the focus changes from the universe to our planet, and from our planet to mankind. Now we are very sure that the will of God is somehow connected with this planet and with mankind.

Do you remember how our Lord Jesus Christ taught his disciples to pray? "Your will be done on earth as in heaven." If we want to know the eternal will of God, we cannot take our planet away. That's why the camera is focused on the earth; because through this planet, God is able to fulfill His purpose. God was never satisfied with His will only being done in heaven. His heart will be satisfied one day, when His will is also done on this earth. It is very clear: our planet is like a space ship for God.

We have sent space ships to Mars with a purpose, with a mission; but before NASA sent that spaceship, they had to think what they were going to do, and how that spaceship would fulfill that purpose. God created the heavens and the earth; a wonderful universe. But think about this: if you know a little bit about the universe, you know how small our planet is, and how big the sun is.

Let us suppose that we try to empty the sun and we could put our planet inside the sun, one earth will never fill the space of the sun, not even ten earths, nor a hundred thousand, but a million! Actually, you would need more than a million earths like ours to fill the volume of the sun. In this universe, there are thousands and thousands of solar systems. In our galaxy, our solar system is not in the center; it is almost on the edge of the galaxy.

It is almost as if it were nothing special. But don't forget that this planet is God's spaceship. For that reason we have to pray so that His will be done on the earth as it is in heaven.

Now we understand why after only one verse the bible speaks of the heavens and of the earth; the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us something important: "I will focus my camera on this planet." Now, the way in which God created the heavens and the earth is not so important. The important thing is that the will of God is to be carried out on this planet.

I remember when man first landed on the Moon. The following day, the New York Times published a commercial: there was a picture of the space ship. And the text said: "it is ugly, yet it reached there." And I wondered who would have paid so much money for that commercial. Then in a small corner I found another picture; a Volkswagen. It's a small and ugly car, but it takes you everywhere.

Brothers and sisters, even though our planet is very small, it is in God's heart and the will of God will be carried out through this planet. More than that, speaking strictly, when we come to chapter 2 we see that God put mankind, Adam and Eve, in His heart. That's why in Job there is a phrase, that asks, what is man that we should be in the heart of God?

The enemy tries to frustrate God's will

So the Holy Spirit took this camera, and we have Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 in which the main theme is not how God created the heavens and the earth; the important thing is that somehow something happened to this planet and that it has something to do with the will of God. We discover that somehow, the enemy of God tried to frustrate His will.

Then, beginning from verse 2, we are told a very important story: "Now the earth was formless and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the deep." Here we immediately discover that something happened to the earth. When God creates something, it is always perfect and beautiful. When we study Isaiah and other prophetic books, when the judgments of God fell on a certain area, the Spirit always uses the expression "formless or empty." That simply means that when God created the heavens and the earth, he never wanted the earth to be formless or empty.

If you try to study the expression carefully "was formless and empty", the word "was" translated from Hebrew means "became." We remember how Lot's wife became a pillar of salt; it is the same Hebrew word as the "was" used in Genesis 1:2. Lot's wife was not a pillar of salt; however, she suffered a tragedy, and she became a pillar of salt.

The same thing happened here. In the beginning the earth was not formless and empty. Something must have happened. "And the darkness was over the surface of the deep." If we gather all those terms -darkness, empty, formless- according to how the Holy Spirit uses those words in the Bible, it always refers to judgment. After God's judgment, the earth was transformed, and became formless and empty.

So then we find darkness in this world. "And darkness was over the surface of the deep." Not only was there darkness, but it was over the surface of the deep. And the deep -as we mentioned before- means the ocean. It means that the whole earth was wrapped in ocean, and now the light could not penetrate. It is not surprising that there was darkness here. Something happened to our planet.

The Bible doesn't speak to us about it in detail here. However, when studying other parts of the Bible, we know the story; we know what happened. Remember that God created the heavens and the earth, and after a certain amount of time, (we don't know how long), God created angels, among whom, the most beautiful was Satan, who before he fell was the chief angel. He was so beautiful, he was wonderfully created; among all God's creation, nothing compared with him. However, we know the story. He became so proud and wanted to be equal to God. Then there was a great rebellion in this universe; and not only Satan rebelled, but rather one third of the angels followed him. Those angels became devils, they followed Satan in his rebellion against God.

That tragedy truly happened. Now we know how darkness entered into this world. That rebellious world was a dark world. They could no longer remain in presence of the light. The presence of God is full of light. So they were driven from the presence of God, all the way to our planet, and not only to our planet but also to outer space, probably to our solar system and maybe even to our galaxy.

How do we know? If we study the letter to the Ephesians, chapter 6, we know that the power of darkness is in the heavenly places. It is very clear. No wonder that today people worship the sun or the moon; the solar system is their territory, and they make people worship the sun and the moon. Satan wants to receive worship. This proves that the enemy of God occupies outer space. And more than that, they have probably penetrated our galaxy. How do we know this? Because today we have astrology, based on the knowledge from our galaxy. They have concluded that somehow the stars will govern our fate. And if anyone believes in that, Satan will receive all the worship; that's what he wants. It is very clear how the enemy of God has been driven out from the presence of God all the way to our outer space.

Now, when we come to Revelation chapter 12, in the beginning the dragon was not on this planet; he was somewhere in our outer space. One day there will be a war in which the good angels battle against the evil ones, and Satan will be defeated. From that time on, they will be thrown from the heavenly places to our planet. Formerly, the power of darkness was scattered over all our galaxy. However they will be cast into our planet. Before it took the whole galaxy to support those powers of darkness, but now our poor planet will have to support all the powers of darkness. That is the beginning of the great tribulation.

How do we define the great tribulation in Revelation? Brother and sisters, when the enemy of God occupied outer space, it was already a tragedy. That's why we suffer today. But think about this: today we suffer, but those powers of darkness are distributed throughout the whole galaxy. Because they are scattered, we feel that power, but because of distribution we are not swallowing everything. But one day Satan the dragon and his powers will be driven from the heavenly places -outer space- and they will be limited to the surface of our planet. No wonder the Bible says: "Woe to the earth and the sea!", because here comes the great tribulation!

Today if mankind already suffers enough pain, suffering, and illness. We can imagine that day in which all that power is concentrated on the earth. Then the dragon will appear on the seashore. Then we will see the first sea-monster come out from the great sea. Then there is another monster from the land. Brother and sisters, then there will be suffering. According to our Lord Jesus, this suffering will be unlike anything that has happened before.

From this knowledge, we are very sure that the enemy of God is still in the air today. That's why, it is clear in the Bible that when we are involved in the spiritual battle, we are dealing with evil powers, and powers of darkness in the air. So, because the whole earth followed Satan at the beginning, it is probable that there were some living creatures on this planet -we don't know the details-, and that they also rebelled against God. The demons have something to do with that.

It is sometimes thought that some people, after dying, transform into demons, but that is not a biblical concept. According to the Bible, those wicked spirits, those demons, have something to do with living creatures that once inhabited this planet. But any way, one thing know: that God's judgment came upon the earth, then it became formless and empty, and now there was darkness everywhere; the whole planet was surrounded by ocean.

Remember; in the new creation there won't be any sea or ocean. So somehow, the ocean has something to do with darkness. Once again, it is evidence that the earth went through a very severe judgment; God judged this planet. Before God said "Let there be light", there was a history of God's judgment. We don't know how long it took. However, we do know that during a long period in the history of our planet, it was under God's constant judgment.

The judgments of God on the earth

But, how did God judge the planet? We don't understand. However, when we come to Revelation, before our Lord's return, when Satan and his followers are scattered on this planet, we not only have Satan, but also the antichrist, the dragon and the false prophet; we have a devil trinity. God is a God of Trinity. Satan tried to imitate God; he is against God. Satan is against God the Father. The antichrist tried to imitate Christ and is against Christ, and the false prophet tried to imitate the Holy Spirit.

Think about this. In the time of the great tribulation there will be darkness everywhere; and in the beginning the earth and the sea was be surrounded by darkness: the same condition of Genesis 1:2. If we want to know what happened to our planet in that time, we can say that after God's judgment, the earth became formless and empty, and darkness was everywhere.

In Genesis we don't know how God judged this planet, but we know what happened in Revelation. We have the seven trumpets and the seven bowls. Especially the seven bowls, which represent the wrath of God, poured out from heaven, and each judgment is aimed at the whole planet. Now regarding the seven trumpets, there was a very big mountain, and the Bible says that it was burning, and in some way it collided with this planet. What's more, there was a fallen star that fell and hit the rivers of the earth.

We don't know what happened in Genesis; however, we do know what happened in Revelation. Not only once, but seven times. Seven wraths fell upon this earth. And regarding one of those, God probably caused a great burning mountain to collide with this planet. Some thing from outer space like a mountain fell upon the earth. Now we understand; in that time, we know how God shook this world, how He judged this world: with seven judgments.

Now, there is something very interesting here. Scientists have told us that in the history of our planet there were five events that happened to this planet and the species of this planet almost disappeared. In other words, according to scientific reports, God had sent five judgments upon this world. It is almost as if seven bowls had fallen on this earth. It is very interesting. We don't have details, but if we believe that our God is a consistent God, who is the same yesterday, today and forever more, His methods are always the same, the form in which He will judge the earth in the end times is probably the same form in which He judged it in the beginning.

This is almost a fact among the scientific world: Sixty five million years ago, there was a huge burning mountain which came from outer space and hit the Mexican Gulf. Today, if you visit Mexico, there is still a great hole created by that mountain. What happened? Because of that judgment, all the dinosaurs disappeared.

What are dinosaurs? Have you seen the small reptiles that crawl on the walls? They are small lizards. But what is a dinosaur? According to the scientists, a dinosaur is just like those creatures that crawl. But why have these creatures of today never grown any bigger? Take bees, for example. Why don't bees ever grow any bigger? Think about that. If a bee was as big as a lion, we would all be in problems! However God created the heavens and the earth, and he put a limit on the bee. How? Because it's intestinal tube never grows, and for that reason, the bee's body always remains small. If it had grown, we would be in trouble, we would have bees as big as lions everywhere. However, that has never happened in our universe; God created the heavens and the earth, and he put limits upon those crawling creatures.

Unfortunately, when they followed Satan, or when they were possessed by evil spirits, they grew and grew and grew. Those are the dinosaurs. We know how big the dinosaurs were: almost a hundred feet long and sixty feet high, with a long tail and a long neck. This was so that they were well balanced. But to have such a long neck, they needed a very strong heart. The heart of a dinosaur weighed almost four hundred kilos. Our blood pressure is always between 80 and 120, but if we measured the blood pressure of a dinosaur, it would be 600!

This is a dinosaur. They followed Satan and they occupied this whole world. There was abnormal growth among God's creation, just like in Revelation. We have locusts. Locusts normally only eat green things; green leaves or grass. They never try to hurt people. But don't forget, those locusts will be possessed by demons, or as a consequence of cloning. We don't know but that is not what's important.

In the beginning, when God said: "Let there be light", who occupied this planet? The dinosaurs. They were very real. Especially in your neighboring country, Argentina; it was full of dinosaurs. Think about that. In some way, there was something very wrong with this planet. It is very interesting. Today the scientists have begun to believe that there were five tribulations, and the last judgment happened sixty five million years ago. It is very clear.

However, according to new investigations, they believe that many years before that happened, there was another star that collided with this planet. Then what happened? Before that, all the crocodiles were scattered over the earth. And after that judgment all the crocodiles disappeared. But then we had dinosaurs. So, brother and sisters, according to the Bible, that's what happened.

If you study your Bible carefully, and apply this principle of symmetry: how God will judge at the end is almost the same as how He judged at the beginning.

God had to do something; when there was darkness everywhere, when there were crocodiles everywhere, when there were dinosaurs everywhere. On the one hand, God's judgment fell on this planet, like the seven bowls. But after that, God did something in the enemy's territory. And then God said: "Let there be light." And there was light. This light meant light for this whole world. In other parts of the universe, there is light everywhere, the presence of God is found in all places, the glory of God is everywhere. Now, this was the enemy's territory. God brought light to the darkness. God was able to do something beginning from the enemy's territory.
